::Installation guide ::

1.>
Determining New Ceiling Height.
The bottom of the wall angle moulding should be at least 3" below the lowest pipe, beam or duct. Ceiling level should also be above door frames and window openings.

2.> Install Wall Angel Moulding.
Measure up 3/4" from desired ceiling height, mark the wall at several points using a chalk line. Do not take measurements from the floor.

3.> Align the top of the wall angle mould with the level line or wall marks and fasten onto the wall

4.> Angle mould should overlap on inside corners. Outside corners require 45 degree mitre cuts and butting.

5.> Most rooms are not square use the string line for squaring the ceiling in the room and leveling the main tees. Wall Angle Clips are easily snapped onto wall angle mould, the twine is threaded through the hole on the clip (see diagram). Four of these clips are provided in the Levelling Kit One string line to indicate main tee rows. One string line to indicate cross tee row. (Components available for Fire Rated Assembly.)
5.1> Use Ceiling Installation Clamps to secure string on wall angle for "Squaring the Room" and levelling ceiling.
5.2> Secures wall angle to already installed wall angle for single person installation
5.3> Secures main runners and cross tees to wall angle until grid is completed.
5.4> Secures components in difficult installations or when pop-riveting.

6> Suspend Main Tees.
Mark room centreline above the wall moulding. Main tees run parallel to the room centreline and are perpendicular to the joists. They are spaced 4' on centre. Plan position of main tees to ensure borders are of equal size around room.

7> Main tees must be cut to length so that the cross tee slots line up with the cross tee strings nearest the starting wall. Cut the tee section at the wall end.
Nail the T-Bar Hanger straps can be lengthened by joining two together if required.

8> Bring the face of the main tee flush with the string line and insert bulb section of main tee into the strap.

9> Snap main tee sections together to form a continous run. Where there is a splice in a main tee, There should be a hanger wire or hanger strap within 6 inches.

10> As an option to the T-Bar Hanger straps, screw eyes and suspension wire may be used. Drive screw eyes into joists at 4' intervals (maximum) plumb with main tee string lines. Attach hanger wires to screw eyes leaving 6' length below string level.
10.1> Bend wires 90 degrees at 3/4" above string level. Check for level and then twist wire 3 or 4 times to secure (tight turns).

11> Install Cross Tees.
These run perpendicular to and are snapped into the main tees to support the individual ceiling panels. Measure and cut cross tees for border of the room. Begin by installing the cross tees in rows away from the borders. Always insert cross tee into left-hand side of slot for proper locking.

12>
Install Ceiling Panels.
Tilt panel through openings and drop gently into position. It may be necessary to trim a panel to size in order to fit borders. Use a utility knite to cut square edge tile and cut through face.
